I think competitive sports are many times too competitive, especially when children and young ones are involved. Sometimes parents are so serious about winning that it takes all the fun out for the children and also causes undue stress on the child.

Are Competitive Sports Too Competitive? No , that's why they have the name competitive in them

Should School Start Later in the Day? Yes, but with a shorter day buy year round

Should Parents Feel Guilty for Wanting “Me” Time? nope not at all.

I do not think competitive sports are too competitive…they are supposed to be competitive

I think athletics should be to foster co-operation. Winning really shouldn't be everything or even anything much, not for kids anyway – Can't we just let them have fun?

Amazon is the god of all things online shopping. I'm not really sure what life was like without it, anymore since it's so widely used!

I would love for school to start later in the day. But that is just the lazy, wanting to sleep in part of me! But – I totally think that school should actually start a little earlier for those moms who work outside the home. School start times are often the same as parents work start times- It has to be really hard to work out schedules like that !!

It's wonderful taking time out of my busy day to chat & finding like minded people. I recently purchased books for my daughter off Amazon so I know there is a world to find there.

As far as "Me" time- NO!! Parents should NOT feel guilty at all! I think the parents that dont take that time have a tendency to get burned out and are not as productive with their kids. My kids go to Grandmas house every Friday and that is my day to clean, or shop or sleep in- whatever I want to do. And you know what? I am so excited to have the kids home after that long day- that our weekends are super fun and productive! Its like recharging my batteries- and I am ready to go- after a long week- it is the perfect medicine!

Parents should absolutely NOT feel guilty about wanting some "Me Time". I think stress happens when our own needs are ignored because we are busy fulfilling every desire of our kids. When we take some time for ourselves, we are less stressed. Less stressed-out parents = happier kids.

If parents don't have me time they wont have the strength to take care of their kids, of course it's necessary. You have to take care of yourself to be able to give to others.
