What does it do?

Life360 aggregates major alert feeds such as the USGS earthquake monitor and local municipality alert systems and maintains a database of alerts that are relevant to each city in the country. With your family's profile data, we can automatically determine which alerts fall within your area, and when you select to subscribe to an alert, we can integrate it with your profile in order to give you the most useful information. Life360 determines when you are affected by an alert and generates a custom notification message that includes the original information plus specific instructions from your profile (for example, the alert may tell you where your nearest emergency meeting location is). The alerts are broadcast on all channels, so if you have any line of communication open (SMS, land line, cell, IM, email), you will get the alert.
