Waiter Steals Kindle, Found with Tile

Tile has officially reduced theft in America. Sometimes things are lost, other times they are stolen. Often, we only have someone's word to go one, but now with Tile, you have an additional tool to help track down your stuff, and sometimes get it back. Giving you peace of mind about what matters to you, and in this case, the digital content that also lives on that tablet. He was able to use the range finder in the app to see signal strength, and get the stolen Kindle to ring once he got close enough. We've had other cases where our app was able to recover lost or stolen wallets as well.

Yesterday when eating dinner in downtown Palo Alto we were asked to move tables. Shortly after that I noticed my kindle had gone missing.

After asking several employees if one had been turned in, and repeatedly being told that nobody had found one, I pulled up Tile and discovered it was still in the restaurant. The signal was strongest in the back near the employee lockers. Eventually the manager searched the lockers and discovered it in an employee's bag.
