One question you might have is whether or not you need to charge a Tile battery.
The quick and simple answer is no, but there are a few reasons why. This guide will cover all you need to know about keeping your Tiles powered and ready to Find. We'll look at how Tile batteries work and what to do when a Tile runs out of power. Read on for answers to all of your questions about charging a Tile.
Do You Need to Charge a Tile?
You do not need to charge a Tile battery. When you buy your Tile tracker, like a Tile Mate or Tile Pro, you won't need to look around in the box for a charging cable or worry about keeping the tracker charged so that you can carry on using it. This is because all Tile devices (with the exception of Tile Pro) come with 3-year sealed non-replaceable batteries.
Tile Mate, Tile Slim, and Tile Sticker all come with a sealed 3-year battery. You can simply use these devices for up to three years without ever needing to worry about the battery dying or the Tile running out of power. The Tile Pro comes with a battery that lasts for one year, but is replaceable. You can use a standard CR2032 battery in Tile Pro; these are relatively cheap and can be found at most stores.

What to Do When Your Tile Runs Out of Power?
Now that you know you don't need to charge a Tile and they mostly have non-replaceable batteries, what do you actually do when the battery runs out of power and the Tile is unable to function?
If your Tile battery has run out of power, you'll need to get a new one depending on the Tile model.
For Pro- You can order a replacement battery online from most retailers, like Amazon, or simply buy a new battery from a store near you. Tile recommends Energizer and Duracell brands for best results. You'll need a CR2032 battery for Tile Pro.
Next, you'll need to remove the existing battery. To do this, apply a little pressure to the battery door on the back of the Tile Tracker and slide it away.
Use a precision screwdriver or paperclip to remove the dead battery from its slot.
Insert your new CR2032 battery, making sure to keep the positive (+) side facing up towards you.
Replace the battery door and ensure that it is sealed, as this will keep the battery in place and allow the Tile to function.
Give your new battery a test by tapping the Find button on the corresponding Tile via your Life360 App. The Tile tracker will then ring.
