How does this work? You start by picking out a Tile tracker that works with your child's toy. Some parents like the Tile Mate, which easily loops onto collars, handles, or tags. Others use the Tile Sticker, which you can stick directly onto the bottom of a car or the side of a game. Once you have the Tile installed on the toy, download the Life360 app onto your smartphone.

Whenever the toy goes missing after that, you just need to grab your phone. Select the Tile linked to the toy and tap Find. This instantly makes the Tile ring, so you can track down the toy. With the loud ringer, you can find a toy even if it's been stuffed under a mattress or put inside a kitchen cabinet.

It's also possible to use Tile to find a toy that was left at the park or dropped out a car window. Whenever your child's toy was lost outside the range of the toy finder, tap the Notify When Found option on the app. This lets other Tile devices scan for your toy anonymously. When the toy comes into contact with another Tile, it's new location will update in the toy finder app. Then, you can visit the spot, find the toy, and arrange a happy reunion between your child and their beloved toy.

Tips on Finding Your Toy From Tile Customers

Worried about your kid removing the Tile tracker? B. has a great hack. She recommends doing a little stuffed animal surgery to hide the Tile inside the toy. All you need to do is snip open a seam, insert the Tile, and then use a needle to sew it back up. This 10-minute craft ensures the stuffed animal will always have the Tile.
