How Life360 Became Candace’s Favorite Family App

Our users at Life360 often share stories of how they’re using the app – whether it’s about how they are staying connected with their families or have peace of mind from monitoring new teenage drivers. The stories of gratitude we receive on a daily basis keep us working hard to constantly improve our app. We recently connected with one of our users, Candace S., who offered to share her story about how Life360 became one of her favorite apps for her family.

Candace first heard about Life360 from her son’s friend and quickly downloaded it soon after. With a new driver in the family, she signed up for the Driver Protect plan and was shocked by the range of features that were included and how inexpensive it was compared to the family app she was previously using. Candace knew right away that she wanted the Driver Protect plan because her family lives in a rural area where it’s common to find oneself on a deserted road for miles.

Although the speed and real time location notifications are her favorite features to engage with on a daily basis, it was the Crash Detection technology that really wowed Candace. Only 2 months after having downloaded Life360 Driver Protect, she received a voicemail from Life360 while she was at work that her husband had been in a car accident. Moments after listening to the voicemail, her husband called to let her know he had just been in a car accident.

“I was so impressed with the whole crash detection experience. It’s amazing how quickly it can identify an accident and alert you!” said Candace S. “The police weren’t even on the scene yet and Life360 had already called me.”

Candace’s husband was on his way home from work and was a passenger in his coworkers car when the crash happened. They were driving up a bridge when the car in front of them abruptly came to dead stop, resulting in a rear end collision that totaled their car. Thankfully there were no injuries.

“Life360 protects you no matter what car you’re in or if you’re the driver or passenger. As a self proclaimed nervous nelly – it’s amazing. I love it for my family.”
