Here’s How to Activate Tile on Your Laptop 

Tile’s full suite of finding features are on the new Lenovo Thinkpad X1 PCsC, so you can find it with the free Tile mobile app. Simply download the Windows app and activate your PC as a Tile, and ring your PC when nearby. Your PC is findable with Tile up to 14 days and even when your PC is shut down or offline.

Here are the steps to activate Tile on your Lenovo:

1. Download and install the Windows app from the Microsoft Store.

2. Create an account. 

3. Log-in and follow the instructions to activate your PC as a Tile.

4. Download the Tile mobile app, and log in to find your PC. You should already see your laptop activated as a Tile on the homescreen.

So how do you Find your laptop when it’s lost? Supported Thinkpad X1 devices are findable using the Life360 app on both Android® and Apple® devices. You can ring your laptop when it’s nearby - up to 250 feet. The finding feature works in 4 different power states, including On, Modern Standby, Power Off and Hibernate. It’s even findable Offline for up to 14 days! The Windows App was thoughtfully designed for consumers using the Thinkpad X1. You can also use the Life360 app on your laptop to find your other Tiled items - and even to find your phone too. 

And if you’re not within range? Have no fear, Life360 is always working. Life360 is anonymous, so you’ll never have to worry about your location data being compromised. If your lost Tile isn’t within range, you can mark ‘Notify When Found’ in the app. When someone comes within range of your Tile, the app will automatically (and anonymously) update the location of your Tile on your account.
