Never lose your tablet again with Tile's tracker and app that will find your tablet for you, even if it's powered off or offline.

How Do I Find My Tablet?
The portability of tablets makes them a convenient tool for work at home or on-the-go, but their convenient size also means they are very easy to lose. When you bring your tablet everywhere with you, you are more likely to leave it behind. Even at home, it is common for slinky tablets to slip out of sight, ending up beneath cushions or behind furniture. If you're tired of wondering, How will I find my tablet this time? it's time to try Tile. Tile is the ultimate method for keeping track of your device--even when it's powered off or offline.
Track Your Tablet With Tile
Instead of dumping out your backpack, turning coat pockets inside out, and digging under car seats, you can just use Tile to find your tablet. Tile tablet trackers work with Bluetooth to keep you up to date on your tablet's whereabouts. To start tracking, all you need to do is slip a Tile Slim into your tablet case or stick a Tile Sticker directly onto the back of your tablet and download the Life360 app. The next step is to follow the instructions to pair your Tile device with the Life360 app, so you can easily use the Life360 app to find your tablet whenever it goes missing. This cuts back on the amount of time you spend hunting down rogue electronics, so you can get back to gaming, working, or watching your favorite shows. If your tablet stores memorable photos, important work documents, or other priceless data, Tile also gives you peace of mind. Even if your tablet is stolen or lost far away, you have a better chance of recovering your belongings. With all the tracking apps available, you might be wondering why you need a dedicated tracker just for your tablet. Adding a Tile to your tablet is important because it will keep working even if your tablet turns off. Typical find my tablet apps and programs can only work as long as your tablet is running and connected to the internet. Thieves know this, so they often turn off a tablet until they can disable tracking software. Trackers that quit working when your tablet turns off are also a problem if your tablet goes missing with a low battery. A Tile means you don't have to frantically hunt for your tablet in a race against time. Even if it takes a couple of days to realize your tablet is missing, Tile will still be there. Long after your tablet has run out of battery or been switched off by a thief, Tile keeps sending out tracking data.
How Tile's Tracker Works
Tile is the ideal tablet tracker due to its convenient method of hunting down lost items. When you lose your tablet, just pull out your phone instead of searching high and low for your device. Select the Tile attached to your tablet, and tap Find. As long as your tablet is within Bluetooth range, you can ring your Tile. Then, you just follow the sound until you find your tablet hiding underneath a couch or inside a piece of luggage. When your tablet is out of Bluetooth range, you can still use Tile to locate it. If you know the general location of the tablet, consider just walking around until you get within range. The Life360 app will also mark the last known location of your tablet, so you can see if you left it at your office or forgot it at a friend's house. Your final option for tracking down your tablet is the Tile Network. When you mark your tablet as Lost in the Life360 app, any device that uses Tile will start scanning for the tablet automatically. The whole process is completely anonymous, so no other users will hear about your missing tablet or see where it is. The only one who gets any notifications will be you. As soon as another Tile device comes within range of your tablet, you'll get an update on the notification. Thanks to the Tile Network, people regularly find lost or stolen electronics, even if they're far away from their initial location. As you can see, Tile is a simple and convenient way of making sure you can always find your tablet. Looking For Your Tablet? These Tips Will Help You Find it Faster

Does using Bluetooth really drain your phone's battery? Are there different types of Bluetooth? We'll help you make sense of what's fact and what's fiction.

Since all of our trackers run on Bluetooth, it's no surprise that we frequently get asked does Bluetooth drain phone battery? There are all sorts of misconceptions out there about how Bluetooth works. It's tempting to blame your Bluetooth when you glance at your screen and see your battery visibly dropping. However, the reality is that Bluetooth doesn't consume quite as much power as you think. Before you start thinking about shutting down your Bluetooth, there are a few things you need to know.
Does Turning Bluetooth Off Save Battery?
Does Bluetooth drain battery on the average phone? We're used to apps and other phone processes using power whenever they run, so it's understandable that many people assume running Bluetooth also uses up power. However, this isn't actually true. Having Bluetooth on in the background isn't like having an app running. Instead, leaving Bluetooth on is like your phone is permanently connected to a Wi-Fi network. Having Bluetooth on but not running doesn't really impact battery life much at all. Things get a little different when devices are actually connected to your Bluetooth. There's quite a bit of variance in Bluetooth gadgets. A device that requires a constant, steady Bluetooth connection, like using Bluetooth headphones to stream music, will drain a bit of battery. However, if your device just has to check in with your phone occasionally, like a Tile Mate tracker, barely any power is needed. How much power do you use exactly? Tests run on typical smartphones reveal that leaving Bluetooth on but not using it only drains 1.8% of your battery throughout the day. Using Bluetooth constantly for a Bluetooth-intensive activity like streaming increases power consumption by just 6.6%. This ultimately means that turning off Bluetooth only gives you around 10 to 15 minutes of extra battery life each day. If you never use Bluetooth, go ahead and turn it off. However, if you've got Bluetooth devices, shutting down Bluetooth is just inconvenient and doesn't make much of a difference.
The Different Types of Bluetooth
Something to keep in mind when asking does having Bluetooth on drain battery? is that there's actually more than one kind of Bluetooth. There's the original form of Bluetooth, called Classic or Standard Bluetooth, and a newer version called Bluetooth 4.0. This upgraded form of Bluetooth, used in our Tile trackers, is also named Bluetooth Low Energy because it uses far less battery power while still providing a very stable connection. Standard Bluetooth is great for when your phone needs a steady connection. For example, if you're streaming music with earbuds, you'll need high-powered Standard Bluetooth. Bluetooth 4.0 is used when a gadget has very low connectivity requirements. Your phone will use energy-saving Bluetooth 4.0 when it's connecting to Tile trackers and other similar devices.
What's Draining Your Phone Battery?
Now that you know a little about how Bluetooth works, you know that the reason for a rapidly dropping phone battery probably isn't your Bluetooth. If you're worried about your phone's battery usage, there are a few things you can do to figure out what's causing the low battery. For Android users, it's as easy as clicking on your battery icon and selecting the Battery Usage option. This will show you which apps or phone functions are responsible for your decline in battery. If you've got an iOS phone, you can get similar data by going to Settings. Tapping on the Battery section and picking the Show Activity option will give you an overview of why your phone is using up power so fast. This lets you see exactly which phone processes are the culprit so you can turn them off. While checking battery usage, you'll most likely find that Bluetooth is barely using up any of your phone's power. So, to sum it all up: Streaming media with Bluetooth might have a small effect on your phone's battery, but just leaving Bluetooth running for background devices barely uses any battery at all. If you've got a Tile, this means there's no reason to turn off your Bluetooth. You'll still get decent battery life while keeping track of your pets, remotes, and other important things. Tile can help you find your lost Roku remote wherever it is, like deep in the couch cushions or in your dog's favorite stash spot.

Each week, the average person spends at least five minutes tracking down their remote. If big, clunky TV remotes get lost that easily, it's no surprise that petite Roku remotes are lost even more often! Don't let a lost Roku remote ruin your TV night. When you remember to put a Tile tracker on your Roku remote, you can easily stay organized and find your remote without having to tear apart your living room.
Use Tile and Your Phone to Find Your Lost Roku Remote

Picture this: You finally have free time to catch up on your favorite show, but when you go to turn on your Roku, you realize the remote is gone. Cue the panic! How to find a lost Roku remote? For the average person, this involves flipping over cushions, peering behind media consoles, and asking every person in the house where the remote is, which can be extremely frustrating. If you have Tile, things get a lot easier. You might not even have to get off the couch. All you have to do is grab your phone, open the Life360 app, and tap Find. Listen for the ring and pinpoint exactly where your lost Roku remote is hiding. You get to skip all the hassle and go back to enjoying TV, movies, music, and more.
Do You Need to Find Your Roku Remote Often?
With their slim profile, it's easy for Roku remotes to slip between couch cushions when you aren't looking. Their shape also makes it easy for them to hide in plain sight. If you've got a Roku remote, there's probably been at least one or two times you've run through the house looking for the remote, only to find it was sitting right on the coffee table. As you probably know already, there are all sorts of other crazy places a remote can end up. If you absentmindedly carry it with you when you leave the TV, it can turn up in the kitchen cabinet, on a sink counter, or even in your car! Potential locations for a lost Roku remote are even wackier in homes with curious pets or toddlers. If you turn your back for a minute, the remote can get buried in the backyard or tossed in a box of dress-up clothes. With all the bizarre spots a Roku remote might end up, looking for your remote can feel hopeless. You start by peeking between couch cushions or calling Hey honey, have you seen the remote? However, when this proves useless, you end up tossing clothes out of dresser drawers, looking inside pillowcases, and desperately wondering just where your Roku remote has ended up. All this time and energy can feel frustrating and pointless. If you want to speed up the process, turn to Tile.
How Tile Works
Figuring out how to find a Roku remote doesn't have to be complicated or confusing. The Tile Roku remote tracker is very simple to set up. First, you just peel the adhesive backing off the Tile Sticker and press the tracker onto your remote. The tracker is small and lightweight, so you can still use your remote normally with the tracker installed. Then, you just need to pair your Roku remote tracker to the Life360 app on your smartphone to find it if (or really, when) it goes missing next. So, when you want to relax with your favorite show but can't find the remote, you don't have to spend ages digging around under couch cushions. Tile helps you stay organized! Instead, just pull up the Life360 app and tap Find to instantaneously make your Roku remote ring. Then, you can easily follow the sound to exactly where your remote is. You can find your Tile tracker by making it ring when it’s within Bluetooth range (between 100ft/45m and 300ft/90m depending on the model). You can share your Tile in the app with anyone who lives with you to expand your finding range or use the map in your app to get directions to where you had it last, or ask the Tile Network to help you find it. If you love the idea of never having to waste time or energy hunting for a lost Roku remote again, you definitely need a Tile. Find the best one for your home by browsing our website. If you love your bike and want to protect it, try Tile's motorcycle tracking devices. See where you last parked it on a map or activate the global Tile Network to find it if it's stolen.

If you own a motorcycle, you probably love adventure, speed, and excitement. However, being free-spirited doesn't have to mean throwing caution to the wind, too. Taking a few simple steps to safeguard protect your motorcycle can really pay off. Cyclists who install a Tile tracking device save themselves a lot of hassle and money later on.
Find Your Bike If It's Stolen

When you've put a lot of money, love, and time into maintaining your bike, the idea of a thief taking it and stripping it for parts is pretty awful. Motorcycle thefts are very common, with over 40,000 bikes being stolen each year. With a motorcycle tracking device, you can get your back bike before it's too late. One of our users, Andreas M., experienced this firsthand. Andreas had a beautiful $24,000 Agusta motorcycle, so he was devastated when it was stolen from his Redwood City home. Fortunately, Andreas had a Tile hidden underneath the seat of his bike. Through the Life360 app, he got a notification about an updated location for his motorcycle. The police followed this information right to the stolen bike. It had been ditched 300 miles away in San Francisco, but Andreas got it back in perfect condition thanks to Tile.Attaching a Tile motorcycle tracking device keeps bike theft from ruining your motorcycle. If someone does take your bike, the Tile Network will automatically scan for your vehicle. You can get notifications if your bike is picked up by another Tile device. With this information, you and the police may be able to locate your stolen motorcycle. Instead of worrying every time you leave your bike in the open, you can be confident about your chances of recovering it.
Never Forget Where You Parked Again
One of the great perks of motorcycles is that you can often park them in smaller spaces a car would never fit in. However, this can also make it surprisingly easy to lose track of your bike. Have you ever been eager to impress a date with your bike but ended up making them walk around looking for your bike for ages? Do you exit a shop and suddenly realize you have no clue what road you left your bike on? With Tile, you don't have to worry about these sorts of frustrating scenarios. As long as you left the app running in the background, you can see the last location you left your bike. Tile also comes in handy if it's too dark to see where you parked. Instead of having to pace through a dingy alley or dark parking garage, you just tap the Find feature. With the clear ringing sound of the Tile, you can locate your bike no matter how dim it is.
How Tile's Motorcycle Tracking Devices Work
So, how do you actually install a tracking device on a motorcycle? You've got a few different options. The fastest and easiest choice is the Tile Sticker. This tiny finder with a powerful adhesive can be stuck discreetly under a seat or fender. Another option is the Tile Mate or Tile Pro. These have a slightly longer range, and you can easily slip them inside of a saddlebag or tail box. To use the Tile as a motorcycle tracking device, you should activate the Tile to the Life360 app on your smartphone. Available for both Android and iOS, this app offers powerful finding features that let you find your bike when it’s lost or stolen. When you're within Bluetooth range, you can tap Find in the app to make your Tile ring instantaneously, so you can find it faster. You can also check the map in the app to see your Tile’s Last Place Seen, which works as a handy reminder of where you parked. If your bike gets stolen or towed, you can also use the app to get help from the Tile Network. Once you select Notify When Found,” every phone with the Life360 app will scan for your motorcycle tracking device. When a member of the Tile Network finds your bike, you get a notification. Of course, this information is all automatic and anonymous, so no one besides you will know anything about your motorcycle's location. Now that you know a bit about how Tile works, try it out for yourself! Browse our options on our website or use the Help Center to find answers to frequently asked questions about Tile. Tim M. recently shared a fantastic story about how he tracked down a stolen backpack. Tim travels a lot for work, so his backpack contains important things like his passport, prescriptions, and car keys. While he was in Oakland, CA, a thief broke into Tim's rental car and stole his backpack. Tim filed a report online, but the police weren't optimistic about him getting his pack back. A few days later, a notification popped up from the Tile Network, letting him know that his backpack had been spotted. Tim quickly drove to the area and used the Tile ringer. He followed the sound to a bush in a parking lot where he discovered his stolen backpack. With Tile, he was able to get his passport and car keys back in time to travel home. Another Tile user, Conor D., was even able to bring a thief to justice with Tile. Conor was relaxing with friends in a bar when someone snatched his bag. Others in the bar identified the thief, and a bouncer was able to chase the person down. However, by the time the cops got there to arrest the suspected thief, he had ditched the bag. With the Life360 app, Conor was able to find his bag in a nearby dumpster. This information helped him press charges, and Conor got all his belongings back. Finding your laptop--or anything else for that matter--is going to be easier when your mind is clear and free to think, so try to shift from pandemonium to problem-solving as soon as you realize it’s not with you. Tile makes a great laptop tracker, called Tile Slim, that makes it easy to find your laptop if it’s been lost or stolen. We’ll go into how Tile helps you find your laptop in the next section, but we’ll first start with some old-school tips for anyone who is in the midst of a lost-laptop panic.Generally speaking, when we’re looking for something we lost (like a laptop or our keys or wallet), there are three main steps we go through in order to find it. Here’s what we recommend:First, look to see if it’s lost somewhere nearby. If it’s close by but it’s been misplaced, simply moving things around to look under some blankets or behind a pillow could unearth your missing item. If it’s not nearby, the second step is to retrace your steps to the last place you had your lost thing. Check your calendar for old appointments where you may have left it behind, and if you drive a car---search it. You might even try literally retracing your steps where you know you walked before to trigger a forgotten memory or to find it where it was dropped. If the first two steps don’t help locate what you’re missing, the last thing most people do (and the last thing on our low-tech list) is reaching out to relevant friends and family to join in on the search. Tile makes it easier and faster to find what you’re looking for, thanks to our innovative devices and app. To use Tile to find your laptop, add a sleek Tile Slim with a gentle adhesive.Keep reading to learn more about how Tile works, or grab a Slim for you and a loved one using the button below!
How does the laptop tracker work?
Tile makes it easy to find your laptop when it’s lost at home or when you’re on-the-go. Attach your Tile Slim to your laptop, and pair it via Bluetooth to the Life360 app on your smartphone or tablet. (Tile is compatible with most iOS and Android devices.) Once you Tile is on your laptop and activated in your app, you can use our convenient features within the app to locate it when it’s lost. Tile was designed to reflect how we naturally look for things, with the added help of some powerful technology. Here’s how it works:FIND NEARBYWhen your item is lost somewhere within Bluetooth range, (150ft / 45m for standard models, 300ft / 90m for Pro), there are two ways to find your Tile: by sound or by using the in-app proximity meter. To find by sound, tap Find in the app to make your Tile ring instantaneously, so you can find it faster. It’s the perfect solution for those moments when your laptop is mysteriously hiding under a blanket or in a backpack somewhere at home. The proximity meter helps you find your laptop silently with an easy-to-read display that shows when you’re getting closer or further away. FIND FAR AWAYIf it’s lost and not nearby, you can see its Most Recent Location using the map in your app. Your Tile and your app are always communicating, so your app will make a note when they disconnect and offer you directions back to it. If you’ve had a busy day out and about, this simplifies the answer to the question, where did I have it last?If your laptop has been moved or stolen since the last time and place you had it, Tile can take care of that too! The global Tile Network works together to extend the range of your finding power by enabling long-range location updates from other smartphones. To make it work, tap Notify When Found in your Life360 app. Each time someone with the Life360 app comes within range of your laptop, Tile will automatically and anonymously update you on your laptop’s most recent location.
Is Tile a popular laptop tracker?
Still wondering whether or not Tile can actually find your laptop? Here’s a story from an actual Tile user:I was on a trip from Cancun, Mexico last November and as I had just gone through customs, I suddenly realized that I left my laptop on the plane. All of my life basically was in there! Although a woman from the airline was trying to help, there wasn’t much we thought we could do. Then, all of a sudden I had an idea. I got the Life360 App on my smartphone out and pinged the computer bag. In just a few minutes, a woman was running to me with the computer! “Is this yours? Your medicines are in here too! Someone heard a sound from the case and ran to figure out what it was and found your computer. All was saved, the day was saved. I was so happy that I discovered Tile and enjoy peace of mind. Thank you. Excellent product. - Alan T. As you can see, Tile’s Bluetooth laptop tracker can help you find your laptop. What happens when a U.S. Paratrooper loses his keys jumping from a helicopter? He hunts them down on the ground with Tile's key finder and app.

Tile is a powerful key finder that's ready for anything!
Most of us just take our keys to and from the house, but if you live a slightly more extreme lifestyle and have been wondering about what Tile can take--this story is for you.Since your Tile tracker is a piece of tech, you might think it's a bit fragile, which could be an issue if you like to live on the adventurous side of life. The truth is that your Tile is pretty tough! Tiles are designed to be water, drop, and temperature resistant so you never miss a beat. And that durability sure came in handy for Michael. Like many of us, Michael put a Tile on his keys to help him find them faster day-to-day. However, unlike many of us, Michael has a pretty extreme day-to-day job as a U.S. Army Paratrooper in the Eastern Armed Forces. Read on to discover what happened when Michael lost his keys jumping out of a helicopter and how he got them back with Tile: “So yesterday, like a true American hero, doing the manliest of man things, I jumped out of a helicopter at about 1,500 above the earth. Well, something fell out of my pocket. Turns out it was my keys. And normally when you lose something on the Dropzone, it belongs to the Dropzone. Never to be found again.Didn’t realize this until I got home at the end of the day. That’s when I was like, Oh man, I’m screwed. I can’t even drive back out there.Well, I got a ride from a friend (another great American hero). And then we ran about a mile and a half out just to get close. Alas! My phone said we were close. But luck was not on our side. The cold weather of Germany shut my phone off. My compadre downloaded the Life360 app, I logged in (with my great memory skills), and it was confirmed. But the sun was setting. We knew we had to hurry. We were close. As soon as he asked how to make it ring, I spotted them. Laying in the middle of a muddy road. About 10 ft. away from where we were. They were muddy and beaten. But not broken.Upon our return from the success of our glorious mission, we toasted the creators of Tile over delicious German beers."An extraordinary adventure deserves an extraordinary key finder like Tile Pro, or even our limited editions!

Tile just launched four new earth tone colors—Seaglass, Clay, Slate, and Blush—and they're the kind of shades you actually want clipped to your keychain, slipped into your wallet, or tucked in your bag. Down-to-earth colors that are, fittingly, down to track it all. Same unmatched finding power. A whole new palette.
What Are Tile's New Earth Tone Colors?
The new Tile color collection draws its inspiration from the natural world—oceans, mountainsides, sun-baked earth, stone. Each shade is grounded and familiar, the kind of color that feels intentional rather than incidental. No neons. No plastics. No trying too hard. Just four shades that go with your stuff. Here's what's new: Seaglass is a muted teal — think sea glass you'd pick up on the beach, not the electric teal of a 2015 phone case. Soft, a little cool, and way more interesting than black on a keychain. Clay is warm and earthy — the kind of color that looks like it belongs on a shelf at an expensive ceramics studio. It also happens to look great tucked into a bag or clipped to your keys. Your wallet has never looked this good. (And now it'll never go missing, either.) Slate is a cool, understated gray rooted in stone. If you've been waiting for a tracker that doesn't scream tech accessory, this is it. Blush introduces a subtle pink that reads mineral rather than candy-coated. It’s refined — not overly polished. She's beauty, she's grace, she knows where your wallet is. All four colors are available in Tile and Tile Slim. Mix, match, and track everything you love.
Why Does Tile Color Actually Matter?
Because you carry your Tile everywhere. It's on your keychain, in your bag, clipped to your luggage. It goes with you to the grocery store, the gym, the airport, your in-laws' house. The things you carry say something about you—and your tracker should, too. This collection was built on a simple idea: peace of mind shouldn't have to look ugly. The shift toward softer, more muted tones isn't just happening at Tile. It's a broader move in design and fashion toward palettes that feel calm and cohesive—colors you choose to carry, not just something you need. Tile's new earth tones fit seamlessly into everyday objects and environments because that's exactly how they were designed. Premium. Intentional. Timeless. And yes, still completely capable of finding your keys from across the house.
What Can You Track With the New Tile Colors?
Everything. That's kind of the point. Track your keys (obviously). Your bag. Your wallet. Your luggage. Your backpack. The TV remote. That pricey camera you take everywhere. Your bike. Tile's Bluetooth range goes up to 350 feet, and the ring is loud enough to hear from the next room. Picking a color? That's the hard part. And because Tile lives inside the Life360 app, you're tracking your stuff right alongside your people and pets—all in one place. One app. Zero wondering. Full peace of mind.
The Tile + Life360 Combination: Everything, Tracked
Here's what makes the new Tile colors even better: they work with Life360, the family connection app that keeps your people, pets, and most important things close. From the Life360 app, you can:

Find your things — Play a sound on your Tile, or track it down on the map

Find your phone — Use Tile to make your phone ring even when it's on silent

Send an SOS — Use the SOS button to discreetly send an alert to your Circle

So while your new Clay or Seaglass Tile is turning heads, it's also quietly doing the most important job it's ever had.
How to Choose Your New Tile Color
Genuinely can't pick? Here's how to think about it. Seaglass is for anyone who gravitates toward cooler tones — the kind of person who has a linen everything and probably owns at least one piece of sea glass already. It's calm-looking without being boring. Clay is warm and earthy. If your vibe runs more natural materials and neutral tones than bright pops of color, Clay is going to feel like it was made for you. Also just looks really good against leather. Slate is the easy answer if you're genuinely undecided. Gray sounds boring until you see it — it's more of a cool stone tone in person, and it goes with literally everything without looking like you just grabbed whatever was closest. Blush tends to surprise people. It's pink, but it's not pink pink — more like a dusty rose that happens to be attached to a Bluetooth tracker. If you've been waiting for tech that doesn't look like tech, this is the one. And if you still can't pick, get two. Your keys and your wallet don't need to match.
Get the New Shades. Keep Track of Everything.
Four new colors. The same hard-working tracking. And the peace of mind that comes from knowing your stuff is exactly where it should be. Earth tones aren't going away. Neither is your peace of mind.Shop the new Tile shades →

Tile's New Earth Tone Colors Are Here And They Track as Hard as They Trend

New Earth Tone Colors Are Here

Your keys went missing. Again. If you're weighing whether the Tile Pro is worth it — or how it stacks up against the AirTag and Tile Mate — this review breaks it all down. Range, battery, durability, cost, and which phone it actually works best with. Plus: there's an SOS feature most people don't know about. Here's everything you need to decide if the Tile Pro is the right tracker for you (and your whole family's map).

Summary
What this article covers:A full breakdown of the Tile Pro: what it does well, where it has limits, how it stacks up against the Tile and Apple AirTag, and what is actually the right pick in 2026.
Who it’s for

Android users looking for a durable, long-range Bluetooth tracker

Mixed-household families using both iPhone and Android devices

Anyone deciding between the Tile Pro and a cheaper Tile option

Life360 members who want to get more out of their tracker setup

Key Takeaways

The Tile Pro is priced at $34.99 and is Tile's top-of-the-line Bluetooth tracker.

It has a 500-foot Bluetooth range.

The user-replaceable battery lasts about a year, unlike embedded-battery models.

IP68 rating means it's dustproof and water resistant up to 1.5 meters.

The AirTag has a precision edge for iPhone owners due to the Ultra-Wideband (UWB)

The SOS feature is available through the Life360 app, not the standard Tile app.

Best fit: Android users, mixed households, and anyone already in the Life360 ecosystem.

Tile has been in the Bluetooth trackers game for a while, and the Tile Pro sits at the top of their lineup. It's built for people who want more: more Bluetooth range, more durability, and a louder speaker compared to the standard Tile. At $34.99, it's Tile's premium option, designed to help you locate lost items like your keys, bag, wallet, or whatever else tends to disappear at the worst possible moment. It works with both iPhone and Android devices, integrates with the Life360 app, and comes with a user-replaceable battery, so you're not tossing the whole thing after a year. Is it worth the upgrade? That depends on who you are and what phone you're holding. Here's the full picture.
Specs and Design: Built to Last
The first thing you notice about the Tile Pro is that it feels solid. Where the Tile is plastic, the Pro has a metal frame. It's the kind of thing you can clip to your car keys and not worry about. The rectangular shape makes it easy to tuck into a bag pocket or slip onto a keyring without feeling bulky. There's a built-in attachment point at the top, so no extra accessories are needed to get it on your keys right out of the box. Unlike some third-party trackers that require a separate holder or case, the Tile Pro is ready to go as-is. Flip it over and you'll find a QR code labeled Scan Me If Found. If someone stumbles across your lost keys or bag, they can scan the QR code and get your contact info. It's a simple but genuinely helpful feature that doesn't require the finder to have any app installed. Most Bluetooth trackers don't include anything like this, and it's a nice touch for real-world recovery situations. The Tile Pro is water-resistant and boasts an IP68 rating, meaning it can handle submersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. The Apple AirTag and Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 are both IP67 certified. Same 30-minute window, slightly shallower depth. Not a huge practical difference day-to-day, but the Tile Pro edges them out on paper.
Set-up and the Tile App
Getting the Tile Pro running takes less than five minutes. Download the Tile app (available for both iOS and Android), create a free account, and pair your device. That's it. You also have the option to use the Life360 app instead of, or alongside, the Tile app. This is where things get more interesting, because the Life360 app is where bonus features like the SOS feature and Smart Alerts live. More on those in a moment. Once it's set up, the app displays Tile's location data on a map showing your tiled item's last known position. One important thing to understand: this is not real-time tracking. The Tile Pro is a Bluetooth tracker, not a GPS device. Location data updates when your Tile comes within range of another Tile or Life360 app user, so what pops up on the map is the most recent location it was detected, not necessarily where it sits right this second. For most everyday use cases, like finding lost items or locating a missing bag, this is totally fine. Just good to know going in. If you need real-time tracking for a pet or a family member, that's where the Life360 app's GPS features come in. It's also worth noting that older versions of the Tile app may have fewer features than the current release. Keeping the app updated ensures you're getting the full experience.
The Tile Network: How Lost Items Get Found Beyond Bluetooth Range
Here's where the Tile ecosystem really earns its keep. When your Tile Pro is beyond your personal Bluetooth range, it relies on the Tile Network, a tracking network built on the collective reach of Tile users and Life360 members. Any nearby device running the Tile or Life360 app will anonymously detect your tracker's signal and relay its location back to you. Nobody gets notified that they helped. It happens quietly in the background. Life360 reports over 70 million users, which means there's a large device network of phones passively helping locate lost Tiles every day. That's a real advantage over smaller or newer Bluetooth trackers that are still building their user base. The honest caveat: the network works best where people are. Dense urban and suburban areas have more Tile users nearby, which means faster and more reliable location updates. If your item goes missing somewhere rural or low-traffic, the tracking network has fewer devices to work with, and your chances of a quick ping go down. For comparison, Apple's Find My network runs on every iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Samsung's SmartThings Find network is similarly well-populated for Galaxy users. The Tile Network is competitive in populated areas but trails those two ecosystems in raw size.
Bluetooth Range: What 500 Feet Looks Like in Your House
Tile claims a 500-foot Bluetooth range for the Pro, which is impressive on paper. Real-world performance is a different story. Walls, furniture, floors, and interference all chip away at that number. In practice, most Tile users find that effective Bluetooth range lands somewhere between 120 and 200 feet when obstacles are involved, which is typical of limited Bluetooth range behavior across trackers in this category. That's still plenty for most homes, offices, and vehicles, but it's worth calibrating expectations before you picture your Tile pinging from a block away. What the Tile Pro does better than the Tile and most other trackers in close proximity situations is its chime volume. The tracker's chime is pretty loud, noticeably more so than the Tile, which makes a real difference when you're trying to locate something buried in couch cushions or tucked under furniture. You'll hear it. If you've ever stood just feet away from a Tile and struggled to hear it ring, the Pro's louder speaker is the fix. One thing neither the Pro nor any Tile tracker offers: directional guidance. You're working off sound and signal strength rather than a getting warmer arrow. That means a bit of back-and-forth to zero in, which is worth knowing if you were expecting precision navigation.
Battery Life: The Replaceable Battery Is a Bigger Deal Than It Sounds
The Tile Pro uses a CR2032 coin cell battery, which is user-replaceable, with a manufacturer-estimated battery life of about one year. When it dies, you open the battery cover, pop in a new one, and keep going. This might sound unremarkable until you compare it to the Tile Slim and standard Tile, both of which have embedded, non-replaceable batteries. When those die, the device is done. You buy a new one. For the Tile Pro, a replacement CR2032 costs about a dollar. That's a meaningful long-term savings over repeatedly replacing entire Tile devices, and it's better for the environment too. If you hate throwing things away before their time, the replaceable battery alone might justify the upgrade from the Tile, especially if a dead battery has ever left you without a working tracker at the wrong moment. One thing to watch: frequent chimes and heavy network pings can drain the battery a bit faster than the one-year estimate. If you're constantly ringing your Tile to find your car keys, factor that in. The longer battery life compared to embedded-battery Tile models is still a clear win overall.
Tile Premium and Subscriptions: What Costs Extra
The core Tile app experience is free. You can ring your Tile, see its last known location, and use the Notify When Found feature to get alerted when your lost item is detected by the Tile Network, all at no cost. To unlock the full feature set, Tile offers two subscription tiers: Tile Premium ($3/month or $30/year) adds 30-day location history, Smart Alerts that notify you when you leave somewhere without your tagged item, and item reimbursement if things go missing for good. Tile Premium Protect ($99/year) bumps the reimbursement coverage up to $1,000 for lost or stolen items. Smart Alerts in particular are worth calling out. The ability to get a notification before you've driven away without your wallet is one of those features that sounds small until the day it saves you a thirty-minute round trip. If you're already a Life360 Silver, Gold, or Platinum member, some of these features overlap with what your plan includes, particularly location history and alerts. Check your Life360 plan before adding a separate Tile Premium subscription on top of it.
Android vs. iPhone: Does Your Phone Change the Math?
Short answer: yes, a little. The Tile Pro works with both iOS and Android, which is genuinely useful for mixed households where not everyone is on the same platform. That cross-platform flexibility is one of its real selling points over trackers that are locked to a single ecosystem.

For iPhone owners: Apple AirTag is deeply integrated into the Find My ecosystem and benefits from Apple's Find My network running on hundreds of millions of Apple devices. It also uses Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology for Precision Finding. Directional arrows and distance estimates right show up on your screen. For iPhone-only households, AirTag is a very strong choice.

For Android users: the Tile Pro is a much more compelling option. AirTag is built for iPhone. Samsung's SmartTag 2 is built for Galaxy users. The Tile Pro works across Android devices without locking you into any specific manufacturer's ecosystem. Pair it with Life360, and you get crowdsourced finding, location history, Smart Alerts, and the SOS feature that generic Android find alternatives can't match.

For mixed households: Tile Pro's platform design means everyone can use the same tracker, the same app, and see the same map.

The SOS Feature: A Bonus Most People Miss
Here's something the Tile Pro does that most people don't realize when they first buy it. Triple-press the button on your Tile Pro, and it sends a discreet SOS alert to your selected contacts with your location. It's completely quiet. Your contacts get notified so they can check in or send help fast. The ability to send SOS alerts lives in the Life360 app, not the standard Tile app. It also only works with 2024 and newer Tile models. But if you're already set up with Life360, the SOS feature turns a key tracker into a personal safety device, one that's already on your keychain every time you leave the house.
Privacy and Security
Tile handles privacy thoughtfully. Device identifiers rotate regularly, which limits the ability for someone to use a Tile to track another person without their knowledge. If an unknown Tile has been traveling with you, an alert will pop up on your phone, an anti-stalking measure that's become a standard expectation for Bluetooth trackers and one Tile takes seriously. Compared to Apple's Find My, Tile's end-to-end encryption is less comprehensive. Apple's system is designed so that even Apple can't access your location data. If privacy is your top priority and you're on an iPhone, that's worth factoring in when keeping track of what's right for you. For most everyday use cases like locating lost items and keeping tabs on your stuff, Tile's privacy protections are solid.
Tile Pro vs. AirTag vs. SmartTag 2 vs. Tile
Tile Pro vs. Apple AirTag ($29): AirTag wins on Find My network size, UWB precision, and price for iPhone owners. Tile Pro wins on Bluetooth range claim, IP68 vs. IP67 water resistant rating, user-replaceable battery, and Android compatibility. If you're on an iPhone and precision finding matters most: AirTag. If you're on Android or need cross-platform flexibility: Tile Pro. Tile Pro vs. Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 2 ($29.99): SmartTag 2 has UWB and tight integration with Samsung phones. If you're a Galaxy user, it's the natural fit. For everyone else on Android, especially non-Samsung devices, Tile Pro plus Life360 is the stronger combination. Tile Pro vs. Tile: Tile is smaller, cheaper, and handles basic finding well. Tile Pro has a louder speaker, a longer Bluetooth range claim, metal frame construction, an IP68 water-resistant rating, and a user-replaceable battery. The Tile Slim sits between them for wallet use, with a thin profile, longer battery life, but no replaceable battery. If you've ever been frustrated by the Tile's quiet chime or felt like it wasn't durable enough for daily carry, the Pro solves both of those problems. The Tile Slim is worth considering if a wallet is your primary use case and slim matters more than range.
Who Should Buy the Tile Pro?
Great fit:

Android users who want a well-built, durable tracker with a longer range

Mixed iPhone/Android households that need one tracker the whole family can use

Anyone already using Life360 who wants to add their everyday items to the same map as their family

People who want a user-replaceable battery and plan to keep their Tile devices for years

Anyone who wants the SOS feature as a quiet personal safety tool

Probably not the right fit:

iPhone-only households who want UWB precision → Apple AirTag is likely the better call

Dedicated Galaxy users who want deep Samsung ecosystem integration → SmartTag 2 is built for you

Budget-first buyers who just need basic finding → standard Tile handles that for less.

Final Verdict
The Tile Pro is a genuinely good Bluetooth tracker. The metal frame, louder speaker, user-replaceable battery, and water-resistant IP68 build make it a practical, durable everyday companion. The 500-foot Bluetooth range claim is optimistic in the real world, and the lack of UWB can be a gap for iPhone owners who want precision finding, but for Android users and mixed households, those limitations matter a lot less. The bigger picture: if you're already using Life360 to keep track of your family, adding the Tile Pro means your car keys, wallet, and bag show up on the same map as your people. The Life360 app brings Tile's location data together with family location sharing, Smart Alerts, and the SOS feature, all in one place. No switching between tools when something goes missing. That kind of consolidation has real value, especially when you're already stressed about finding something. Shop the Tile Pro and explore Life360 membership plans today.

Tile Pro Review (2026)

Lost your phone? That sinking feeling is the worst — but it doesn't have to last long. This guide breaks down five methods that actually work: retracing your steps, using Tile to ring your phone even on silent, Apple's Find My, Google's Find My Device, and Life360 for the whole family. Plus, what your phone needs set up before it goes missing. Because the best time to be ready is before the panic sets in.

Summary
What this article covers:A practical breakdown of how phone finder tools work, what your phone needs to be locatable, and five real methods to find a lost device, including how a Tile tracker can help you find your phone even when it's on silent.
Who it’s for

Anyone who has ever panicked over a missing phone

iPhone and Android users who want to know their options before disaster strikes

People who already own a Tile and want to know it can help them find their phone

Families who want one app that handles people, pets, and things

Key Takeaways

Your phone needs location services enabled to be trackable.

GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell towers all work together to pinpoint your device.

Five methods can help you find a lost phone: Retracing Steps, Tile, Find My (iPhone), Find My Device (Android), and Life360.

Tile isn't just for keys, you can use it to ring your phone even when it's silenced.

Life360 keeps your phone, your people, and your things visible in one place.

You put your phone down for one second. One second. And now it's just...gone. You've checked the couch. You've checked the counter. You've done the full pocket-pat three times. Nothing. If your phone has a habit of disappearing into the furniture, or you're dealing with something more serious like a lost or stolen device, knowing how to track it down quickly makes all the difference. The good news: there are five solid methods that actually work, and one of them you might already have sitting on your keychain.
How Does a Phone Finder Actually Work?
Before we get into the methods, there are a few things your phone needs to be locatable in the first place. First, have location services been turned on? Without them, most tracking tools are working blind. Your phone also needs some kind of connection to the internet or a mobile signal so that it can send live location updates to you. If your device doesn't have a connection, Bluetooth options fill in the gaps for short-range finding, especially when your phone is nearby but off the grid. You also need to be signed into a Life360 account with the device registered before anything goes missing. This is the part most people skip until it's too late. Once those pieces are in place, your device can be located through a mix of GPS (accurate outdoors), Wi-Fi triangulation (helpful indoors), and cell-tower data (useful when signal is spotty). Some apps also use crowdsourced findings. When your device goes offline, nearby users anonymously relay its location back to you. You'll never know who helped, and neither will they. If none of that was set up ahead of time, you're limited to the last known location before the phone went dark. Not ideal, but still useful. Let's jump into how to get your phone found.
5 Ways to Find Your Phone (Or Your Family Member's)
If everything is set up, there are a handful of ways to locate devices that have gone missing.
1. Retrace Your Steps
Before reaching for any app, take sixty seconds to think through where your phone actually was. The last place you remember using it. The last room you walked through. The last thing you did before the panic set in. Most phones turn up within ten feet of where their owner last remembers having them: on a counter, slid under something, left in a jacket pocket. A quick mental rewind and a physical sweep of the obvious spots saves a lot of time before you escalate to tech solutions. Check the couch cushions, the car, and the bathroom counter. It sounds obvious, but it works more often than people admit. If the physical search comes up empty, that's when you move to the methods below.
2. Use Tile to Ring Your Phone (Even on Silent)
If your phone is somewhere nearby (perhaps buried in a couch cushion, hiding under a pile of laundry, or wedged between car seats), your Tile tracker can find it fast. Just double-press the button on your Tile, and your phone will ring, even if it's on silent. No need to dig through every room. You'll hear it. This works within Bluetooth range (up to 350 feet) through the Life360 app. It won't help if your phone is across town, but for the classic it's somewhere in this house scenario, it's the fastest fix there is.

3. Find My (iPhone)
Apple's built-in phone finder comes on every iPhone, and it's worth setting up before you ever need it. Open the Find My app, or sign in at icloud.com from any browser. Your phone will show up on a map with its current location. From there, you can play a sound to help locate it, put it in Lost Mode, or erase it remotely if things look grim. The key: location services and iCloud need to be set up in advance. If you haven't turned those on yet, that's the first thing to do after reading this.
4. Find My Device (Android)
Android users have the same core capability through Google. Head to android.com/find, sign in to your Google account, and your phone or tablet will show up on a map within the hub. From there, it's the same playbook as Find My: you can ring it, lock it, or erase it. As long as your phone is on and connected to the internet, you'll be able to see its last known location and take action.
5. Life360 for the Whole Family
If the lost phone isn't yours, there's still hope. Life360 lets you see your phone right alongside your family on one shared map. So when you or anyone in the family asks, Where's my phone, you can use your app to see where everything is in one view. Place Alerts and location history make it easy to retrace your steps when your phone (or your teen's phone, or your parent's phone) has gone quiet. It works across the whole family of devices, which makes it useful in a way most single-device trackers aren't.

Other Things Tile is Great at Finding...
Once you know your Tile can find your phone, it's worth knowing the rest of what it can do. Slip a Tile Slim into your wallet, and you'll never stand at a checkout counter wondering where it went. Stick a Tile Sticker on your laptop, TV remote, or anything else that tends to disappear. And if you're a pet parent who wants your cat or dog on the same map as everything else, Life360 Pet GPS gives you the real-time location for your pet, right inside the Life360 app, with details displayed alongside your family and your things.
Find Your Phone Before You Lose It
The best phone finder setup is one you put in place before you need it. Enable location services. Register your devices. Link your Tile. Sign in to your accounts. When something goes missing, you want to be the person who already has the tools ready to go. Life360 brings your phone, your family, and your favorite things together in one app, so you're not bouncing between four different tools in a panic.
