Leading Family Network offers 6 months free of Life360 Premium to Galaxy Note 4 owners
San Francisco, Calif. – September 3, 2014 – Life360, the leading Family Network, announced today it has been selected by Samsung as a Galaxy Gifts partner for the manufacturer’s highly anticipated Galaxy Note 4 devices. This is the latest collaboration between the two companies, who first partnered last year to integrate the Life360 app into the Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch.
Life360 is the leading Family Network with more than 41 million families worldwide using the app. It uses location-based technology to help its users stay connected throughout the day via a private map and chat stream, regular check-ins, and “panic alerts” when needed. The app’s popular geo-fencing feature enables families to set up and receive automatic alerts when a family member arrives or departs from a designated location, such as school, work or home.
As part of the Galaxy Gifts program for Galaxy Note 4 owners, Life360 will offer 6 months free of its Life360 Premium service, which provides access to a 24/7 Live Advisor, roadside assistance, unlimited use of Places, expanded location history, $100 in stolen phone protection, and location lookups for non-smartphones.
“We are proud to have been selected by Samsung as a Galaxy Gifts partner for the Galaxy Note 4 device,” said Chris Hulls, co-founder and CEO of Life360. “On the heels of our international expansion and our focus on growth in new markets, expanding our relationship with Samsung through this integration complements our overall growth efforts and will help us engage millions of new families on our platform.”
Earlier this year, Life360 shared details about its focus on international growth with expanded language support that now includes Spanish, German, Korean, Italian, Russian, Portuguese and Indonesian. The company has experienced 260% growth internationally in the past year, with limited functionality outside of the U.S. until its recent international support expansion.
Partnerships with companies like BMW, ADT and Samsung are positioning Life360 to become the hub for the connected family, offering ways for families to integrate family location awareness into their smart homes, cars and wearable devices.
Life360 is the leading Family Network available for Android and the iPhone. Using proprietary location-based technology, Life360 enables families to share their locations, know when someone needs help and communicate easily with in-app messaging. The app operates in a convenient and secure way that does not interfere with busy schedules or personal freedom. Founded in 2008, Life360 placed first in Google’s Android Developer Challenge in that same year and has received funding from several prominent investors. For more information, visit www.life360.com.
